I had an anxious dream recently. I was on a quest to find the meaning of the word ‘exegesis.’ I was looking in libraries, asking experts, researching ancient archives and dusty old books, but couldn’t find the definition.
When I awoke I could feel that I’d been grinding my teeth in my sleep. I immediately looked up the meaning of the word exegesis on my iPhone and it means: meaning (or the attempt to find or analyze meaning).
So I spent an entire dream ruthlessly searching through ancient texts for the meaning of a word that means to look for meaning.
What does that mean?
